#AMonthOfMAC - Captive

I'd seen a few swatch comparisons online between Brave & Captive, quite apt then that they should follow on from each other in my #AMonthOfMAC countdown, I'd quite often read that if you have one you don't really need the other, but of course I didn't listen and couldn't resist picking up Captive too!


I have to say, I don't think they are too similar. Captive has more of a purple/berry tone to it, and I'm not really sure I'd class it as a nude lipstick either. This is definitely more the kind of lipstick I'd whip out for the autumn. It's quite like a more opaque version of one of my favourites, Plumful. Captive is such a beautiful colour, so I'm really glad I picked it up.

It is the same Satin finish as Brave, so again it's long lasting but still very comfortable to wear. I've also noticed that this lipstick leaves a really nice stain to the lips once the colour starts to wear off.
